Michael has been the Managing Director of the Concrete & Corrosion Consultancy Practice for 15 years, during which time the company has recorded year on year growth. Michael is very passionate about the company and the Industry in which we operate, and he is a leading figure in this niche sector actively lecturing on the subject.
In his spare time, Michael is seldom happier than when he has a plank fixed to each foot and can be found on as many mountains as possible while the snow lasts – he lives for skiing (and après ski, of course).
Michael’s other passion is classic car racing, and he is an active member of the Goodwood Road Racing Club.
Moreover, Michael has lived and worked in several parts of the world, including Kenya and the Middle East and he is still a very keen traveller.

Position: Bridge and Civil Structures Manager

Daniel heads up the Bridge & Civil Structure division and is responsible for the day to day running of all surveys and inspections in this department; liaising with Engineers, dive teams and technicians.
Daniel is a member of The Institution of Civil Engineers, a diver and is among the first engineers in the UK to qualify under the new LANTRA Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme.
To further his qualifications, Daniel is studying a part time Master’s degree in bridge engineering supported by the company.
A keen traveller, he spent over a year on a sabbatical travelling though Asia and Australia whilst with the Practice and has now been back and settled in the UK for several years, but still travels extensively throughout the world with the company.
Daniels interest include kayaking, ski-ing, rock climbing and ‘Betty’ his classic camper van in which he and partner Danielle bought and travelled around Australia in, fell in love with and so – shipped her home to the UK (Betty not Danielle!)

After some years in military service Bill entered the construction field spending 12 years in the UK readymix concrete industry in various construction and management roles. A move to the closely related construction chemicals industry gave experience with work being conducted in over 30 countries in Europe, Asia and Australasia. In fulfilling his various management roles Bill became resident at Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Bill held a VP position with responsibility for all sales and factory operations in North & South East Asia, the Indian Sub-Continent and Australasia.
During his 25 years working in the construction chemical field, Bill became adept at solving complex material and application problems, and also developed new material products to solve particular issues. Bill has worked on some of the world’s most iconic construction projects with the Channel Tunnel, the Burj al Arab and the Three Gorges Dam being well known examples of those projects.
When not looking at concrete Bill still travels extensively for pleasure and maintains an interest in all things connected to the Middle East, Africa and the Far East.

Jennifer joins us having recently moved to the UK from South Africa where she had 11 years’ experience in accounts management.
Jennifer takes on the role of company Finance Manager and has already shown her passion for the task setting about reviewing and changing procedures, systems and generally keeping the companies Directors and Managers in-line when it comes to company finances.
Jennifer has 2 young children and enjoys art, swimming and the great outdoors – South African Safari game reserves and weather vs. Kent countryside and rain, must be mad!

Emily has joined the Practice from Dubai, UAE where the company has their Middle East office.
Emily is also studying at The University of Kent, Canterbury.
Responsible for the Operating CRM system Emily liaises with the company’s Divisional Managers and Directors to support business development as well as organising the company’s Technical CPD Presentations both UK wide and overseas.
Emily is a keen member of the team and when not working enjoys playing Rugby for a ladies team where we believe she shows NO MERCY!
